about us
We are a social enterprise founded by a team who have chosen to use our exceptional coaching skills to impact lives and transform society. We want to create pathways for our clients to pursue various ambitions as swimmers. As a business, we build livelihoods alongside a supportive community to work and grow in.
Our vision
To be a family-oriented swim school with a world-class programme with constant innovation and improvement while giving back to society through training and mentoring of coaches from all walks of life; equipping them with the trade skills for a sustainable livelihood.
Our mission
We seek to deliver excellent swim programmes with professionalism and respect towards our clients.
As a company, we want to build a culture that is wholesome and inspires personal growth for every member of the community.
our team
Meet the co-founders of Red Dot Penguins. Though we come from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, we believe that we can use our industry as a tool to help others live better lives.
Nathanael Wee
Chief Executive Officer
Nathanael is a senior performance coach and has trained multiple batches of Learn To Swim instructors in the past decade. Though highly driven by nature, Nat grew up learning how
to care for and put others first. He loves conversations and coffee–best if served together.
Ong Bo Lock, "Lockie"
Chief Trainer
Lockie is the former head coach of a swim team at an international school in Singapore and has over a decade of coaching experience. With his energy levels, Lockie easily keeps pace with hyped-up toddlers, competitive swimmers, or fellow triathletes—sometimes all in a day.
Tyrone Peh
Head Coach
Tyrone left a career as a software engineer in a large MNC for his role as Director of Innovation. He is an experienced coach who conducted proficiency tests in a previous swim school. Home-cooked meals are less exciting to him than the kitchen equipment used to make them.
Tan Huey Ying
Co-Founder
Huey Ying believes that business is meant for good and that purpose-centric businesses are the way to go. She works with words and water as an editor and a swim teacher. Good books and long dives make her as happy as seeing people discover the joy and freedom of being in water.
